Fcukers

New York group Fcukers uses house beats, '90s-styled electronic sounds, and shout-along hooks to make their energized dance pop. They caught on quickly, playing internationally shortly after their formation in 2022 and bringing their songs to life on record with singles, their 2024 EP Baggy$$, and their 2026 debut album Ö.Fcukers was started by Jackson Lewis and Ben Scharf, who had made indie rock together in the band Spud Canyon, and vocalist Shannon Wise, who had previously sung in the Shacks. All three had grown weary of indie rock and began experimenting with house, dubstep, and other modes of electronic dance music in the final months of 2022, making their live debut as Fcukers in March of 2023. The buzz around the band was significant, and they released their debut single "Mothers" that year, as well as collaborating on a remix project with LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy. They signed with Ninja Tune's subsidiary label Technicolour Records for the release of their 2024 EP Baggy$$, which used new elements like breakbeats, rave synthesizers, and a Beck sample on at least one track. Before 2024 was over, Scharf left Fcukers to go back to school, rendering the group a duo. They moved to Ninja Tune proper for the 2025 release of "Play Me," the first of four singles that would precede their debut full-length album Ö, which appeared in March 2026. Produced by Kenneth Blume and featuring contributions from 100 gecs' Dylan Brady and Grammy-winning engineer Tom Norris, the album brought more polish and variety to their hard-partying sound.
