Parcels

Australia's Parcels mix disco, electro-funk, and five-part harmonies into their own distinctive indie pop sound. They broke through with their 2017 Daft Punk-produced single "Overnight" and cracked the Top 100 of the ARIA chart with 2018's Parcels. The band returned in 2021 with their sophomore effort, the double album Day/Night, which lifted them into the Top 30 in addition to charting in several European countries. Their third studio LP, 2025's unity-themed LOVED, offered still more funky, euphoric dance tunes, including some with a personal, reflective bent.Hailing from Byron Bay, New South Wales, Parcels features Jules Crommelin (lead vocals, guitar), Louie Swain (keyboards), Patrick Hetherington (keyboards, guitar), Noah Hill (bass), and Anatole Serret (drums). The group officially formed in 2014, when the five friends settled on this musical direction after years of playing in projects ranging from folk to metal. Parcels recorded their first EP as their high school years came to a close, then moved to Berlin. Soon after, they caught the attention of trend-setting label Kitsuné, which signed the band and released a string of singles and EPs, including 2016's Herefore, which featured remixes by Roisto, Her, and Onda. Early the following year, the Hideout EP arrived. In mid-2017, Parcels collaborated with Daft Punk, who produced and co-wrote the single "Overnight." The following year, Parcels issued their full-length debut. Eponymously titled Parcels, the album hit 94 on the Australian ARIA chart and reached number 48 in Germany. Following a live in-studio EP, Live, Vol. 1, they returned in November 2021 with the double album Day/Night. It launched them into Australia's Top 30 as well as Germany's Top 20 and the Top 50 in several other European countries. Live, Vol. 2 saw release in 2023, before Leave Your Love, an EP of the band's songs reworked by guest artists (including King Stingray, Ximena Sariñana, Tobi Neumann, and others), appeared in 2024. By the time their third studio album was released in 2025, Parcels had played venues like Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Coachella in the U.S. and their second Glastonbury festival in the U.K. Recorded in studios across Germany, Australia, and Mexico, that September's LOVED embraced the theme of unity through both celebratory and reflective material with an eye to the dancefloor.
