War Child Records

War Child Records, a United Kingdom‑based group formed in 1993, emerged from the collaborative efforts of music‑industry professionals and activists seeking to use music as a tool for social change. The group’s early work focused on producing benefit compilations, with its first notable project being the 1995 release Help, which assembled international artists to support children in conflict zones. Over the following decades, War Child Records continued to release charity albums, including Help!: A Day in the Life in 2005 and Heroes in 2009, featuring contributions from acts such as Coldplay, Gorillaz, and Radiohead. In 2015, the label released This War of Mine as part of a video‑game charity partnership, and in 2020 Arctic Monkeys donated proceeds from their live album to the cause. In 2026, War Child Records issued the compilation HELP(2), featuring collaborations with Oasis, Damon Albarn, Pulp, PJ Harvey, Arctic Monkeys, The Last Dinner Party, Olivia Rodrigo, Black Country, New Road, and Beabadoobee.
