After her grand appearances in Times Square and Madrid's Plaza de Callao, ROSALÍA unveils her latest creation. LUX doesn’t ask for permission—it hypnotizes. The pulse ignites with "Berghain," the album's workhorse and pivotal piece, where the London Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Daníel Bjarnason, builds a framework in which the mystical and the carnal can coexist. "Berghain" not only sets the pulse—it establishes the melodic and rhythmic motifs that structure the album into four movements, acting as the axis that gives order to its journey.
The album unfolds in four movements, playing like a ritualistic journey from start to finish, and physical editions feature 18 tracks (three exclusives) that extend this "ceremony." Around ROSALÍA is a chorus of collaborators: Björk and Yves Tumor on the border between club and oratorio; Estrella Morente, Silvia Pérez Cruz, and Carminho bringing flamenco, fado, and folk traditions; and L'Escolania de Montserrat and the Chamber Choir of the Palau de la Música Catalana anchoring the choral foundation—all nodding to the artist's Iberian roots.
You can feel the conservatory discipline and the raw emotion: expansive strings, purposeful silences, and meticulous production alongside her trusted collaborators (Noah Goldstein, Dylan Wiggins/Sir Dylan, Jake Miller). LUX is both assertion and renewal—proud of its Spanish heritage, global in scope, bold without being flashy. It doesn't compete for attention; it creates its own space.
